Junior/Mid-Level UI/UX Artist

The junior/mid-level UI/UX role is responsible for utilizing graphic design and animation to communicate functionality and game state to the player. A successful UI/UX artist will collaborate early with leads using clear wireframes, user flows, and sample prototypes, mockups, and iconography in both 3D and 2D.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the UI team, and across disciplines, to design UI in accordance with art direction and systems design documents.
  • Deliver assets for all stages of the UX/UI design process. From wireframes to in-game asset creation.
  • Individually implement UI systems in Unreal 5, using Blueprints and other modules.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years as a graphic designer, UX designer, UI designer or similar experience
  • Familiarity with various project management and task management tools
  • Extensive experience with 2D prototyping and mockup tools (Adobe CC applications, Figma, etc).
  • Familiarity with and experience working with gaming accessibility concepts and guidelines.

Bonus:

  • Good knowledge of Unreal 5 and associated UI/UX modules
  • Experience working on a successfully shipped AAA title as UI/UX designer.
  • Good  knowledge/proficiency of Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Ability to create and implement concepts from wireframes to shippable art with minimal support.
  • Experience in language localization and tools such as XLOC
